Course Overview

Learning from expert instructors still active in the industry, students will learn concepts and technical skills from a practical perspective with an emphasis on musical and creative applications.

Studio Recording offers a deep dive into the components, techniques, and roles involved in professional audio recording and production. In a remote learning environment, students explore all phases of audio production including recording, mixing, mastering, and producing as executed in professional, industry-related, recording scenarios.

Additional subjects expose students to the laws and conventions in the entertainment industry, professionalism in the studio, advanced technology, and techniques, as well as divergent fields such as live sound and sound to picture post-production.

Students are offered individual and team exercises designed by industry professionals to build a mastery of the recording process and the business of the audio industry.

Through hands-on instruction, students learn to record, mix and master with industry-standard equipment in preparation for the demands of working as engineers in professional recording studios.
