Course Overview

The importance of higher education in the strategic plans of the state is no longer unknown. The impact of the explosion of information has imposed on the learner to continue to collect and research, and to strive to constantly renew and develop his information and to continue research, not only until obtaining a doctorate but rather the researcher and teacher must continue to be permanently qualified in his field of specialization. This was demonstrated by the feasibility study of the program and the contacts of those inquiring about this program, the need for it. It is expected that students of this program will be full-time or part-time students studying their courses in the afternoon and night hours. The proposed master's program was built on the basis of what was included in the licensing and academic accreditation standards document issued by the Ministry of Higher Education in the United Arab Emirates for the year 2011, and if this proposal is approved, students studying in this program can be accepted starting from the first semester of the academic year 2017 / 2018.

Program Goals:

The programme's goals and outcomes are derived from the university's mission and goals.

  • Provide the student with in-depth knowledge in the fields of Arabic language and literature.
  • The student builds new perceptions in the fields of literary and linguistic knowledge.
  • Providing students with tools for critical text analysis, employing these tools in solving linguistic and literary problems.
  • Student employment of manuscript investigation tools. 
  • Enabling the student to discuss issues and questions that arise in the literary and linguistic fields, in the past and present
  • Student employment of scientific research tools and methods in literary and linguistic issues.
  • Preparing leaders who are able to develop themselves professionally and assume leadership responsibilities in developing the field of Arabic language and literature
