Course Overview

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

You will be introduced to the main areas of international relations. At the end of this module, you will demonstrate a basic knowledge of the subject, and some of the leading theories used to analyse this subject matter.

INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS STUDIES 

This module will help you develop an understanding of the operational and strategic problems facing the business enterprise in the modern market economy. This module considers the practical aspects of setting up, establishing and running a business and looks at the external influences that could have a major impact on the business's success.

INTRODUCTION TO FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING

This module will teach you how to maintain financial records, understand accounting systems and prepare periodic financial statements of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

INTRODUCTION TO LAW

This module will prepare you for entry onto LLB Law or combined honours degrees and will introduce you to the principles which underpin the English legal system, including the mechanics of the legal process, justice in a wider sense, and the personnel who administer it.

All students must provide a language proficiency test certificate.
Brazil Ensino Medio in a minimum of 5 subjects with an average grade of 6.9 - 5.0.
Brunei Cambridge O level at grades 1-6, in a minimum of 5 subjects.
China SH2 (Gao Er) with 75% average across the year in a minimum of 5 academic subjects or SH3 (Gao San) with 70% average across the year in a minimum of 4 academic subjects .
Colombia Bachillerato in 5 relevant subjects including Maths at grade B or above and ICFES in 4 relevant subjects including Maths grade 60% or above.
Ghana West African School Certificate or Senior School Certificate grades 1-6 or A-C in 4 or more subjects.
Hong Kong HKCEE 3 x D's and 1 E or Form 5 in a minimum of 4 academic subjects (grades will be assessed on a case by case basis) or HKDSE with minimum grades of 223 in relevant subjects.
India Standard 10+1 at 70% or above. Standard 10+2 at 55% or above. 50% minimum required for relevant subjects.
Indonesia SMU 2 at grade 7.0 or SMU3 at grade 6.5 in 5 relevant subjects.
Iran High School Diploma with a GPA of 14/20 in relevant subjects.
Iraq Adadiyah at grades of 50% or above in 5 relevant subjects.
Japan Kotogakko - Year 12 (Senior 3) with an average GPA of 3.5/5.0 or at 70%. Year 11 (Senior 2) with an average GPA of 4.0/5.0 or at 75% or above.
Jordan Tawjihi with an average of grade of 80% or above including relevant subjects.
Kazakhstan Attestat (Grade 11) with grades of 4 or 5.
Kenya East African School Certificate or Cambridge Overseas School Certificate or Kenyan Certificate (KCSE) at grades 1- 6 in 4 or more subjects.
Korea SH3: 5th Grade average in rank, with at least 5th grade in relevant subjects SH2: 4th Grade average in rank with at least 4th grade in relevant subjects
Kuwait Shahadat-al-thanawia-al-a'ama with an average grade of 80% or above, including relevant subjects.
Libya Secondary Education Certificate with an average grade of 80% of above.
Malaysia SPM school: Form 5, Term 2 or Mid-Year transcript - Grades of A- C achieved in 5 relevant academic subjects to include English and Maths
Mexico Successful completion of Bachillerato with average grade of 75% or above.
Morocco Diplôme du Baccalauréat with grade average of 12
Myanmar Basic Education High school Matriculation with a minimum grade of 60% in 5 relevant subjects.
Nigeria West African School Certificate (WAEC) or Senior School Certificate with grades 1-6 (A-C) in 4 or more subjects.
Oman Thanawiya Amma with an average grade of 80% or above, including relevant subjects, with no score less than 70%.
Pakistan Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)/ Intermediate Certificate / Polytechnic Diploma at grades 3.0-5.0 or 60% or above or Year 11 at grades 75% or above. 50% minimum required for relevant subjects. Year 11 is not eligible for progression to some Business degree options.
Qatar Thanawaya Aam Qatari with average grade of 80% or above in relevant subjects or QSSC in 5 subjects, with 3 in Advanced Level, all at grades A-C.
Russia & Chechnya Attestat (11th grade) with GPA of 4.0 or above.
Saudi Arabia Tawjihi with average grade of 80% or above including relevant subjects, no score less than 70% in relevant subjects.
Singapore Secondary 4: Term 2 or Mid-Year transcript - Grades of A- C achieved in 5 relevant academic subjects to include English and Maths
Sri Lanka Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) with at least 6 O Levels at Grade B or above / at least 2 A levels at C or above.
Taiwan Senior High 3 at an average of 70% or above, in 4 subjects including relevant subject. Students with outstanding grades of 75% at Senior High 2 may be considered on a case by case basis.
Tanzania East Africa Certificate/Cambridge Overseas School Certificate/Certificate of Secondary Education grades 1 - 6 in 4 or more subjects .
Thailand Mathayom Suska 5 with GPA of 2.5 or above or Mathayom Suska 6 with GPA of 2.0 or above with at least 2.0 required for Maths and Science subjects.
Turkey Devlet Lise Diploması (High School Completion) - 65% overall with minimum 60% in relevant subjects.
UAE Tawjihiyya with an average grade of 80% or above in relevant subject, with no socre lower than 70% in relevant subjects.
Uganda Ugandan Certificate of Education grades 1 - 6 in 4 or more subjects or Ugandan Advanced Certificate.
Ukraine Attestat (11th grade) with GPA of 7.0 or above.
Vietnam Secondary School Graduation/Year 12 (Bang Tu Tai) /National University Entrance Examination with a GPA of 7.0 or above, with a minimum of 7.0 for Maths and Science subjects. Year 11 with a GPA of 7.5 overall and 7.5 for Maths and Science subjects. Year 11 is not eligible for progression to some Business degree options.

English language Requirements:

Academic IELTS for UKVI 5.0 (minimum 5.0 in writing)
