Course Overview

The Diploma in Accounting provides a pathway for SPM (or equivalent) school leavers to acquire knowledge and technical skills related to general business practices and specific accounting knowledge. Graduates of this program are employment ready upon completion of the studies or they may progress to an undergraduate degree in accounting.

In line with the commercial development plans in the country, and with the ever-increasing diversity of business and digital-affluent activities in the marketplace, the changing landscape in business and society has put a significantly increasing demand of workforce in support the business and financial sectors; especially accounting. Thus, this program is aimed to meet the industry demands by producing graduates who are qualified, competent, innovative; and who will eventually be the accounting administrators/professionals as their profession.

Entry Requirement 

Academic Requirements:

To be eligible for entry into the program, an applicant must have met any of the following requirements:

Examinations Requirement
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) Pass in SPM with at least credit in any 3 subjects including Mathematics and a pass in English; OR
Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) Pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with at least grade C (GPA 2.00) in any subject and Credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level; OR
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) Pass in UEC with a minimum of 3 credits including Mathematics and a pass in English; OR
Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) Pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul and credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM; OR
SKM Pass in SKM Level 3 in a related field and pass in SPM with at least credit in one subject; OR
Other certificates A certificate or it's equivalent in a related field
Any equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian Government
For International Students only:

Minimum IELTS score of 4.0 or equivalent.
