Course Overview

 The marketing major develops a precise understanding how to determine customer needs, to develop products and services that satisfy those needs, and to effectively communicate about and deliver the products and services to the customers. Included in the studies are topics such as consumer behavior, integrated marketing communications, product development, and pricing and distribution strategies. Marketing communications focuses specifically on how communicating brand and product identity to the market using a variety of tools: sales promotion, public relations, direct marketing, event sponsorship, personal selling, and advertising.

With this degree, students are introduced to careers in brand management, marketing communications, product marketing management, advertising, and sales. Marketing is an ideal avenue in which students with well-honed interpersonal and communications skills and those who value logic and creativity can pursue their interests.
