About University of Colorado Boulder

Innovative programming; outstanding academic, immigration, and support services; and engaging cultural experiences have consistently made the International English Center (IEC) one of the top destinations for English language study in the United States. Established in 1975, the IEC provides high-quality English language training and cultural programming for youth, high school, pre-collegiate, pre-graduate, and degree students, working professionals, and members of the Boulder community. Programs integrate cutting-edge teaching practices and experiential learning. Courses are offered in traditional, hybrid, and online formats.

Students at the IEC get plenty of opportunities to practice their English on the campus and throughout the Boulder community. Our diverse population includes students from all socio-economic backgrounds from more than 50 different countries, including: Angola, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Gambia, Germany, Georgia, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Kuwait, Macao, Maldives, Mexico, Mongolia, Mozambique, Palestinian Territories, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sudan, Tanzania, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, and Yemen.
